Mrs. Humphrey has been a constant sufferer with inflamatory rheumatism for twenty years, but never murmured and no one knew how much pain she endured. She was a woman of great force of character, a consistent christian. A loving wife and mother. The large cortege of people who followed her to her last resting place is evidence of the high esteem in which she was held by the people of Cresco. Her sudden death is a sad blow to her doting husband and loving children. Her gentle touch and considerate thoughtfulness, her quiet ministrations to the wants and happiness of all as she moved in the charmed circle of home, will linger with them so long as life shall last, a blessed memory and benediction.

Her funeral obsequies were celebrated at the M. E. church in Cresco, Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Williams of Ridgeway officiating, assisted by Rev. Macurdy—Times
