Daryl Lee was born March 31, 1951 in Cresco, Iowa the son of Lauren H. and Selma G. (Benson) Iverson. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1969. Following high school he went to NIACC where he went to school to become a mechanic. In 1972 Daryl joined the Air Force. During the service Daryl served at the Udorn Air Base as an ammunition specialist, it was in the service where Daryl met Boonmak (Cat) Kraison. Daryl and Boonmak were married on November 20, 1976 at the home of Daryl’s parents in New Hampton. In the late 70’s Daryl hauled concrete for Holschlag Construction, then he drove truck for Rausch Brothers Trucking, following that he worked as a carpenter for Steve Ellingson Construction until his retirement in 2007.

Daryl loved fishing with Cat, classic cars and collecting treasures. He had a green thumb and enjoyed canning and making jam with Cat. Daryl was baptized and confirmed at Orleans Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, Iowa, and he was a member of Jerico Jo’s, where he spent time with many good friends and neighbors.

He is survived by his siblings, Debbie (Larry) Peterson, of Rochester, MN, Deann (Galen) Staley, of New Hampton, IA, Doreen (Rod) Ellingson, of Saude,IA, Denise (Christian) Miller, of Cresco, IA, Darlene (Randy) Anderson, of New Hampton, David (Donna Smith) Iverson; dog, Paco; 17 nieces and nephews; and many more loving friends.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Boonmak (Cat)
