Lime Springs.

Mr. Geo. M. Van Leuven, Sr., died last Saturday, June 17th of old age. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church. All the relatives were present except Mr. A. Knowlton of St. Paul, who was detained by sickness. Mr. Van Leuven, Sr., was born November 11, 1811, and settled in Howard Co. with his family in the spring of 1856, where he has continuously lived till date of his death. He enlisted in Co. B, 7th Iowa Vols., Dec. 18, 1863.

Geo.M. Van Leuven Sen. died at Lime Springs last week. He was one of the early settlers of the county and was about 80 years of age. Obituary in the future.
