DIED.

DAVIS—At Foreston, Iowa, April 3rd, 1890, Mrs. Catharine Davis, in her 67th year. She leaves six sons and two daughters to mourn the loss of a faithful mother.

The deceased was born on the Island of Anglesy, Wales, in the year 1823, and with her husband emigrated to the United States in the year 1849, settling in Green Lake Co., Wis.

In the year 1861 they removed and located about two miles north from the village of Chester, just over the line in Minnesota. In the year 1869, the family moved to Foreston, Iowa, their present home.

Her husband died in Nov. 1883.

The deceased identified herself with the Welsh Calvanistic Methodist Church while young, and continued an active and consistent member until called to her reward.

Funeral from the residence, Saturday, April 5th, at 1 p. m., Rev’s O. R. Morris, W. Davies and Richard Isaac officiating. Funeral sermon in commemoration of the departed was preached by Rev. Richard Isaac at 2 p. m., Sunday, April 6th. The funeral was well attended.
