Obituary.

DIED—At his home in Cresco, Iowa, February 9, 1888, W. D. Little, aged 49 years.

The deceased was born in Shenandoah valley, Va., April 12, 1839, In 1858, he and his now bereaved companion were both converted and were received by baptism into the Christian Church—to which we are told by his companion, he has been a faithful adherent since that time.

In 1866 he was married to Rachel Frederick. Five amiable daughters live to grace this union.

Death in its first visit to this household takes from it the honored head.

Mr. Little was of a family of twelve children, seven boys and five girls.

Only once before has Death entered the family circle, and then to take away the eldest sister, who died thirty-three years ago.

Over sixty grand-children and some great-grand-children live to bless the union of that now aged couple, who in their Virginia home are now bowed down in grief.

Thus is formed a large circle of relatives to mourn this, so uncommon an event, among them.

In the death of Mr. Little, his family lose a kind husband and father; and the community, a respected citizen and obliging neighbor.
