Obituary.

On Feb. 12, 1887, Wilhelmina M. wife of Jacob Woellstein, departed this life.

She was born in Bavaria, Germany Dec. 31, 1838. In 1854, with her parents Chas F. and Margeretha Daubersmith, she crossed the Atlantic ocean.

After a sojourn of about two years in Dodge county Wis., she arrived in Howard county, Iowa.

January 27, 1857 she became to life companion of her now bereaved husband, who had in 1854 acquired a tract of wild land in New Oregon township, where through industry and economy she assisted him to build up a home, in which she devoted all the energies of mind and body to the welfare of her family, and wherein she bid a last farewell to loved ones. Though of an unassuming disposition, she was ever ready to lend a helping hand, alike to friend or stranger. Esteemed and respected by a large circle of acquaintances, she will long be remembered. A husband will mourn a true and devoted wile,{sic} three sons and two daughters will cherish the memory of a loving and affectionate mother, who guided them on their way to usefulness and virtue. D.L.D.
