Mrs. Emma J. Blake, was born at Magog, Canada, and died at her home, 4041 Lyndale So. May 22, 1928. She came with her parents to Iowa at the age of four years. They homesteaded near Cresco and with the family endured many hardships of pioneer life.

She was married to Harrison Blake November 2, 1871. Mr. Blake preceded her in death several years ago. Minneapolis has been her home for the past 46 years. She loved the companionship of her lifelong friends as well as many new ones. She is the last of her family and is survived by her nephew Arthur D.
