Obituary.

Mr. Hiram P. Marsh, one of the earliest settlers of our county and a man universally respected and esteemed for his excellent qualities of head and heart, died at his home in Lime Springs last Saturday. He had been running down in health for the past six months or more, although he was confined to his bed but a few days. His mind was clear and vigorous to the last. His funeral occurred on Monday last, and was largely attended from nearly all sections of the county. The religious services were held in the Presbyterian Church. The choir sang solemn and appropriate pieces in an excellent manner. Rev. Watson Russell, preached the sermon to a large audience. Mr. Marsh had been one of the prominent business men of the place, and was widely known, and in death leaves no living enemy.
