Patricia A. Kempi, age 80, of Cresco passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Cresco Care Center in Cresco, Iowa. Patricia was born on March 4, 1934 in Duluth, Minnesota. She was one of two children born to Conrad Eugene and Edna Marie (Pryor) Rutter. Patricia attended local schools and after graduation attended college. Patricia was united in marriage to Marvin Kempi in Duluth, Minnesota in 1956. She enjoyed the arts and especially enjoyed painting, spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, the Rev. Dr. DeeDee (John) Haines of Dougles, Isle of Man, UK, her son, Jon (Liz) of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England, her son, Ross (Debbie) of Bay Harbor Island, FL; four grandchildren: Angela Fahmy of Minneapolis, MN, Adam (Nicole) Wickwire of Hampton, IA, Megan Tyson of Augusta, GA, and Andrew Kempi of Augusta, GA. Also suriving{sp} are six great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin in 2008; her son Michael; and her brother Eugene Rutter.
