A short prayer service will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester, MN. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Eyota, MN at a later date. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Macken Funeral Home. Hindt Funeral Home of Spring Valley, MN is in charge of arrangements.

June M. Smith, age 73, of Rochester, MN passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN.

June Marlys Farnsworth was born on June 11, 1940 to Fay and Elfrieda (Munkel) Farnsworth. She was born in Cresco, IA, moved to Spring Valley, MN, and then moved to Rochester, MN. On February 25, 1963, she married Roger H. Smith in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and they raised 6 children. June was employed by Orlen Ross Interiors for several years and then worked for Mayo Medical Labs. June loved to play all sports and was an excellent pool player. Her and her team went to Las Vegas for National Pool Tournaments 3 years in a row.

June is survived by her husband, Roger of Rochester, MN; children, Rory (Dawn) Smith of Houston, TX, Gregory (Lina) Smith of Modesto, CA, Kimberley (Monti) Hass of Dodge Center, MN, Victoria (Craig) Ness of Kasson, MN, and Kristina (Gary) Ingalls of Austin, MN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings, Fay (Carol) Farnsworth of Rochester, MN, Lee (Audrey) Farnsworth of Stewartville, MN, Della Rasmusson of Rochester, MN, Vivian Shields of Cresco, IA, and Edith Tupper of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Kevin Smith and several siblings.
