Marcella Haskovec, age 90, of Cresco, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Colonial Manor in Elma, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes, Lourdes, IA with Father Steve Garner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home, 404 North Elm Street, Cresco, IA with a scripture service at 4:30 p.m. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Marcella Haskovec was born March 9, 1924, the daughter of Mike and Ida Mae (Mau) Bronner. She married Edward Haskovec on January 18, 1944. Ed and Marcella farmed near Davis Corners all of their married life. Marcella enjoyed gardening and quilting. Marcella worked at Colonial Manor in Elma for over 20 years.

Survived by her children Lillian (Dennis) Widiker of Birchwood, WI., Helen (Allen) Frank of Gilbertville, Jo Ann (Bill) Enloe of Elma, Rose Mary (Dean) Matt of Cresco, Mary Jo (Michael) Wilhelm of Cresco, and Joseph (Julie) Haskovec of Lime Springs. Also surviving Marcella are her 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her sisters Elsie Pint of AZ and Marilyn Nicholaus of Lime Springs, and her brother Arnold of AZ.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edward, granddaughter Brenda Enloe Barker, great granddaughter Ashleigh Matt and brothers William, Henry, and Earl; sisters Lydia Howard, Edith Benson, Dorothy Rucker, Lorraine Geiken, Betty Bates, and Geraldine Price.
