Evelyn M. (Quirk) McGrane
April 11, 1909 - July 4, 1981

Funeral services for Evelyn M. McGrane 72, Elma were held Tues. July 7th at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, with Msgr. Reicks officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Elma.
Mrs. McGrane died Saturday, July 4th at St. Joseph's Community Hospital in New Hampton after being ill for a year.
She was born April 11, 1909 in New Hampton, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Quirk. She came to Elma in 1933 after marrying Edward McGrane on Sept. 4, 1933 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, St. Cecilia. She attended the country schools and the New Hampton High School. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society until her death. She was the mother of three sons.
Surviving Mrs. McGrane are her 3 sons: James, Merle and LaVern all of Elma; five grandchildren, 3 sisters: Mrs. John Gebel, Lawler; Mrs. Jerome Swehla and Mrs. Alex Gebel, both of Alta Vista.
Preceding her in death are her husband and two brothers, Walter and Harold Quirk both of New Hampton.
