Arva Gordon

Arva (Schleuter) Gordon, 82, of Burleson, Texas, formerly of Cresco, died Monday, March 20, 2000, at her home in Burleson, Texas. Arva was born on Dec. 29, 1917 in Cresco, Iowa.

Graveside services were held Wednesday March 22 at 11 a.m. at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home of Colleyville, Texas. Burial was at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home handled all the arrangements.

Arva's family later moved to Dallas, Texas where she became involved in church activities. Upon retiring, she and her husband moved to Burleson, Texas to be closer to family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Gordon; daughters Belva Gordon and Sandra Machalica, also of Burleson, Sylvia Woodall of Fort Worth, Texas, and Grace Airy of San Diego, Calif.; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
