Minneapolis Lady Buried In Oaklawn
Burial services for Mrs. Ida A. Burdick who died at her home at 3329 Fifth Avenue South in Minneapolis, Nov. 17, 1937, were held at Oaklawn cemetery Friday afternoon. She was 77 years old.
The Burdick family lived here more than thirty years ago. Mr. Burdick was engaged in the photograph business in the rooms that are now the C.L. Converse studio. They left here in 1905 when the business was sold to C. Aminoff Blomquist. Mr. Burdick died and was buried here in April, 1904.
Mrs. Burdick was born at Reed's Corner, Wis. She was the last charter member of Iola Rebecca lodge, and was member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Yeomen.
She is survived by a son LaVerne, a daughter Erva R., a brother George W. Pasko, four grandchildren and a great grandchild, all of Minneapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Geo. L. Hatter of Roanoke, Ind.
Funeral services were held in Minneapolis at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the McDivitt funeral home at 2825 East Lake street. The body arrived in Cresco afternoon accompanied by the daughter Erva R., Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Burdick and Geo. W. Pasko.
A group of officers of the Cresco camp of Royal Neighbors performed the last ritualistic rites for their deceased sister at the graveside. The were Mrs. F. R. Burr, Oracle' Mrs. C. Forthun, Vice Oracle; Emma Vagts, Chancellor; Mrs. E. A. Miller, Acting Past Oracle. Mrs. Fred Hamilton and Miss Vagts sang "Rock of Ages."
Pallbearers were George Champlain, J. A. Cutting, Scott Cameron, G. D. Eaton, H. E. Morgan and Claude Westford.
