Services held for Rose Billmyer October 14
Funeral services for Rose K. Billmyer of Cresco, IA were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Notre Dame Parish, Assumption Worship Center in Cresco, IA.
Friends were to call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco, IA from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening and one hour prior to services at the church. On Thursday evening there was a 5:00 p.m. rosary service, a 6:00 p.m. Legion Auxiliary service, and a 7:00 p.m. scripture service. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA.
Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco handled the arrangements.
Rose, 85, died Monday, October 10, 2005 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco, IA.
Rose (Bouska) Billmyer was born on June 9, 1920 the daughter of Edward and Susan (Lusson) Bouska. She attended rural school in Vernon Springs Township and graduated from Cresco High School in 1937.
On June 26, 1943 she married Leo Billmyer at Assumption Church. They became the parents of one daughter, Kay (Billmyer)Eckerman, and one son David Billmyer.
She is survived by her two children: Kay (Terry) Eckerman of Cresco, IA, and Dave Billmyer of North Port,FL; three grandchildren, six great- grandchildren; two brothers: Thomas (Helen) Bouska of Cresco, IA, and Francis (Doris) Bouska of Ocala, FL; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leo who passed away in 1991; a sister Wilma Weinkauf who passed away in 1994; and by her parents.
