Charlie was born to Leo and Zoan (Richardson) Kraft in Lake City, IA. Charlie was confirmed in the Saratoga Presbyterian Church, graduated from Crestwood High School and attended Calmar College receiving his degree in Welding Machinery. He worked for Svestka’s Welding/Fenco Welding for 32 years. They were blessed with seven grandchildren: Ethan, Macey, Reid, Cami, Cooper, Joslyn and Adalynn. Charlie went to all of the grandchildren’s activities, birthday parties and was always there to cheer them on. When asked about his kids and grandchildren, Charlie would smile from ear to ear and tell you how proud he was of all of them. Charlie loved his Packers and Yankees and could always be seen with his favorite Packers hat and Packers coat on. He loved watching the Packers play and cheering them on. He also loved to go fishing with his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. It didn’t seem to matter what Charlie used, he always got a fish. He is survived by his mother, Zoan and siblings: Suann Kraft-Heal, Kevin (Debbie) Kraft, Becky (Tom) Murphy, and sister-in-law Kris Kraft.
