Services to be held today for Rosalie Bigalk

Funeral services for Rosalie Bigalk of Cresco, IA were held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco, IA with Rev. Michael Massa officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco, IA. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Rosalie,61, died Friday July 29, 2005 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Rosalie was born July 18, 1944 in Cresco, IA, daughter of Clifford and June (Fagerlie) Hagen.

She married Dean Bigalk on November 9,1963 in Orleans Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, IA. She was employed as an Environmental Services Team Leader at Aase Haugen Home in Decorah, IA for 26 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1965.

She enjoyed trips to Branson, spending time with her grandchildren, and shopping.

She is survived by her husband Dean of Cresco, IA; her mother: June Fagerlie of Cresco, IA; brother: Duane (Donna) Hagen of Waterloo, IA; three children: Terry of Cresco, IA, Ricky (Sonja) of St. Paul,MN,and Kathy (Richard) Speicher of New Hampton,IA; and two grandchildren: Chelsey and Tyler Speicher.

She was preceded in death by her father: Clifford Hagen, and her stepfather: Harley Fargerlie.
