Tony was born April 1, 1960 in Waukon, IA, he was one of fourteen children born to Lynn and Virginia (Winter) Halverson Sr. He attended grade school in Postville and high school in Waukon. On May 4, 1985 he married Sandy Jirak in Decorah. They farmed in the Waukon area for a few years. In 1992 they moved to the Cresco area where they continued farming. For the last 15 years he was a backhoe operator for Mehmert Tiling of Saratoga. He enjoyed time with his family especially taking family trips out west and spending time with his brother Lynn Jr and wife Sally of Florida when they visited. Tony will be remembered for always having a Mt. Dew in his hand. Tony is survived by his wife Sandy of Lime Springs, Iowa and their two daughters: Ashley and April. Tony is preceded in death by his dad, Lynn Sr; and two brothers: Scot and Jay.

Visitation:
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco.

Service:
10:00 am on Friday, March 7, 2014 graveside services at Calvary Cemetery, Cresco.
