Services held for Wilma Blomgren

Graveside services for Wilma Blomgren,57, of Grundy Center, were held Saturday,January 24, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Nelson officiating at the Oaklawn Cemetery in Cresco. The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center handled the arrangements.

Wilma died January 22,1998 at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center of cancer.

Born February 9,1940, the daughter of William and Lillian (Jirak) Frana in Elma. Wilma was raised in Howard County and worked on the family farm. She then worked at Beverly Manor as a nurses aide for seven years. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center and volunteered at the Community Center in the kitchen.

Survivors include her two sons: Dwight of Eldora and David of Waterloo; two brothers: Donald Frana of Waterloo and Edmond Frana of Cresco; and two sisters: Vivian Phillips of Fort Atkinson and Jean Frymire of Carmine, IL.

Wilma was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Kay Blomgren; two sons: Austin and Mitchell Blomgren; and her parents.
