Services held for Vincent Bigalk,84

Funeral services for Vincent Bigalk,84, of Cresco,were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco with Rev. O. Paul Hougen officiating.Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cresco. Pall bearers were Manley Bigalk, Scott Bigalk,Richard Bronner, Robert H. Bronner, Russell Stevenson Sr. and Harold Huhe. Honorary pall bearers were Clinton Bigalk,Frank White,Arvid Bigalk and Jack Bronner. Lindstrom Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Vincent Bigalk died Tuesday,February 3,1998 at the Regional Health Services of Howard County hospital.

He was born November 15, 1913 in Langdon, MN, the son of Herman and Helena (Miller) Bigalk. When Vincent was small they moved to a family farm near Cresco where he lived his entire life. He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. Vincent attended the Lincoln Rural School and graduated from Cresco High School in 1932. On April 13,1946 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Banker in Blue Earth, MN. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Cresco; two sons: Stephen Bigalk of White Bear Lake, MN, and Lowell Bigalk of Cresco; one daughter, Martha Bigalk of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren; and one sister, Erma Bigalk of Cresco.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents.
