Death of J.A. Booth

J.A. Booth, a former resident of Howard county,who left here 25 years ago,died suddenly near Des Moines, Friday, October 11. The body was shipped to Cresco where funeral services were held at the Bradley undertaking parlors at one o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. F.H. Weed, pastor of the M.E. church officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery.

His brother, C.E. Booth of Elk River, Minn. was here and attended the funeral.

John Arthur Booth, oldest son of John W. and Alice Booth, was born February 22,1871 at Cresco Howard county, Iowa. He was married to Miss Maude Mitchell in March 1897, and to them three children were born: Charlie,Wesley and Opal.

Mr. Booth passed away near Des Moines, Oct. 11,1929, aged 58 years,7 months and 19 days, death due to heart failure.

Besides the above named children he is survived by two brothers and one sister: F.L. Booth of Long Beach, Calif.; C.E. Booth of Elk River, Minn.; Mrs. Hattie May Dueling of Toledo, Ohio. His parents preceded him in death several years ago.
