Jennie Belle Bigalk Funeral Held May 2

Funeral services for Jennie Belle Bigalk, 85, were held May 2 at the First Baptist church with the Rev. Charles Kirtley officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn cemetery with the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home making the arrangements. A prayer service was held at Dexter on May 1 with the service being conducted by the Rev. Clifford Knight.

Mrs. Bigalk, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Goldsworthy, was born July 19, 1888, on a farm in Fremont township in Winneshiek county. She attended country school and grew up in that area. On Oct. 22, 1913, she was married to Henry Bigalk and they lived on the Bigalk farm in Albion township in Howard county. After Henry's death on April 2, 1947, Mrs. Bigalk moved to Cresco where she made her home until December of 1969, when she moved to Dexter. She was an active member of the First Baptist church in Cresco. Mrs. Bigalk died April 29.

Mrs. Bigalk was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five brothers.

She is survived by her only daughter, Mrs. Harland (Wilma) Isenberg of Dexter, two grandchildren and one great grandson.
