William C. Bronner,69, services June 18
Funeral services for William C. Bronner, 69, were held at 11:00 a.m. June 18 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. The Rev. Paul Lionberger officiated with interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements were with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home.
Bill died June 14, 1990, at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI, from complications of cancer.
William C. Bronner was born in Howard county on December 8,1920, the son of Michael and Ida (Mau) Bronner. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
William was united in marriage to Hazel Ihns on October 17, 1942, in Cresco. They farmed in Howard County for 20 years, moving to Winneshiek County in 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; five sons, Kenneth, Ronald, Eugene and Raymond, all of Cresco and Richard of LaPorte City; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers and sisters: Lydia Howard of Page, AZ, Edith Benson of Cresco, Henry Bronner and Marcella Haskovec of Lime Springs, Earl Bronner of Jesup, Betty Bates and Dorothy Rucker of Waterloo, Arnold Bronner, Elsie Pint and Geraldine Price of Phoenix, AZ; Lorraine Geiken and Marilyn Nicholas of Des Moines.
His parents preceded him in death.
