Edna Bigalk,87, services held Mon.

Funeral services for Edna Bigalk, 87, were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 11 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco. The Rev. Arndt F. Braaten officiated with interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She died February 6, 1991, at Evans Memorial Home where she had lived the past four years.

Edna Bigalk was born in Winneshiek county on July 12, 1903, to Otto and Emma Bigalk. She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cresco and received her education in the Winneshiek County Schools.

Edna was a homemaker, dedicating her life to caring for others. She spent many years on the farm with her father and brothers. Later, Edna and her brother, Herbert moved to Cresco.

Her only survivors are nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Amil, Edward, Arthur, Theodore, Otto and Herbert; and two sisters, Amanda Allen and Lena Anderson.
