Esther Bigalk,86, services held Tuesday

Funeral services for Esther Bigalk, 86, were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the United Methodist Church in Cresco. The Rev. Thomas A. Woodin officiated. Interment was in Oak Lawn Cemetery with Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She died Saturday evening at her home in Cresco.

Esther was born February 26, 1899, in Winneshiek County, the daughter of George and Carrie (Schumann) Nieberline. She married Will J. Bigalk and they became the parents of one son, Robert.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Becky Bigalk of rural Cresco; four sisters, Mrs. Luella Buhlmann of Granger, Mrs. Will (Hazel) Rassman of Cresco, Mrs. Norman (Edna) Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, and Mrs. Irene Chilson of Rochester, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in October, 1964, her son, Robert in 1983, and a brother, Ed Nieberline.
