Mrs. A.H. Breedlove
Edna Juliet Bullis was born at Mooers, New York. At the age of eight years she joined the Methodist Episcopal church. She finished her schooling in the high school at Chateaugay, N.Y., and then spent one very successful year teaching.
She learned the millinery trade at Plattsburg, N.Y., receiving her training from a New York city expert and then spent two years as a hat trimmer at Hermingferd, Canada.
In 1884 she came with her people to Iowa. For two years she was employed in Mrs. R.S. Caward's millinery store in Cresco. She was in the millinery business here for herself for several years.
Sept. 1, 1886 she was married to A.H. Breedlove. They moved to a farm near Chester in 1895 and lived there several years. They moved from there to Chester where they have resided for twenty-three years.
One month ago Mr. and Mrs. Breedlove went to Bellingham, Wash., to visit Mrs. Breedlove's sister Mrs. James Salmon and it was in the latter's home that she died Dec. 27, 1934, after a brief illness of pneumonia, aged 70 years.
Relatives surviving besides her husband are three sisters and two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
The body was brought to Cresco accompanied by Mr. Breedlove and Mrs. Breedlove's niece, Mrs. Beulah Johnson of Bellingham.
Funeral services were held at the Bradley funeral parlors, the Rev. G.A. Ingle, pastor of the Congregational church officiating and burial was in Oaklawn cemetery.
