Mrs. Ruth Bowers, 83, funeral held in Cresco

Funeral services for Ruth T. Bowers, 83, were held Tuesday at the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home with Intern Steven Wohlfeil officiating. Burial was in the Oaklawn cemetery. She died April 8, at Oak Harbor, Wash., in the home of her daughter, where she had lived since 1965.

She was born Dec. 26, 1892 at Protivin. In 1910 she married Gordon Bower and he died in 1939. In 1955 she married Donald Bower and he died in 1967.

Mrs. Bowers is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Bob (Bessie) Johnson of Oak Harbor, Wash.; seven grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. Jim (Sheryl) Smith and Mrs. Earl (Kareen) Johnson both of Lime Springs; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Bower of Lanesboro, Minn.
