Otto Bigalk Funeral Conducted on Monday

Funeral services for Otto Bigalk were held Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. E.C. Franke officiating. Burial was in the Oak Lawn cemetery with the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died Sept. 12.

Otto Alfred Bigalk, 80, was born May 29, 1895 on a farm in Howard county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bigalk. On Nov. 21, 1895, he was baptized in the St. Matthew's Lutheran Church at Granger. On Nov. 6, 1911, he was confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran church by the Rev. Johnn Pless. He farmed with his brothers and sister in the Cresco area for many years. For the last 36 years he lived on a farm 6 miles east of Cresco.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Emil, Edward, Theodore and Arthur, who died in his youth; and a sister, Mrs. Orville (Amanda) Allen.

Mr. Bigalk is survived by his brother, Herbert of Cresco; his sisters, Edna, at home and Mrs. Lena Anderson of Cresco.
