Theodore Bigalk,79 Funeral Held Monday

Funeral services for Theodore Henry Bigalk, 79, of Cresco, who died in the Cresco hospital last Friday morning, were held from the Immanuel Lutheran church Monday afternoon.

Conducting the funeral services was the pastor, the Rev. E.C. Franke. Burial was in the Oak Lawn cemetery with the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mr. Bigalk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Bigalk, was born in Winneshiek county, Oct. 8, 1887. On Nov. 20, 1887, he was baptized in the Granger St. Matthew Lutheran church where he was also confirmed Nov. 6, 1904. For most of his life he was a member of the Cresco Immanuel Lutheran church.

Mr. Bigalk, a veteran of World War I, farmed east of Cresco with his brothers, Otto and Herbert, and his sister, Edna.

He suffered from asthma in recent years and during the past year had been a hospital patient several times.

Surviving Mr. Bigalk are his brothers, Otto and Herbert of Cresco; two sister, Mrs. Herbert Anderson and Edna Bigalk of Cresco; one nephew and three nieces.

Preceding Mr. Bigalk in death, in addition to his parents, were three brothers, Arthur, Emil, and Edward Bigalk; one sister, Mrs. Orville Allen, and one nephew, Gerald Anderson.
