DIED.

POMEROY.--In Holly, Murray county, Min., May 13, 1879, Jane P. daughter of Wm. S. and Maria S. Pomeroy, aged 19 years, 2 months and 29 days.

Deceased was baptized into the Methodist Episcopal Church, Nov. 14, 1875, by the Rev. Henry Webb, Presiding Elder, and had to the time of her death lived a consistent and christian life.

Lord above look down upon us,
And do Thou bless this little throng,
One there is who was among us,
But now she is dead and gone.

Not one week ago this morning,
She went among us well and strong,
But now she in the Casket lies,
Devoid of speech and dumb of song.

May we all feel heartfelt sorrow,
For the friends who bereft and lone,
Feel the need of consolation,
Else 'tis too heavy to be borne.

Gathered around her lonely grave,
Drop the tear of real sorrow,
Trusting that in Heaven above,
We may meet her on the morrow.
