Marvin Blomgren, 60, funeral at Lime Springs

Services for Marvin Blomgren of Lime Springs were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Limes Springs. The Rev. Joel Kreger officiated with interment on the Oak Lawn cemetery at Cresco. He died Dec. 4 at the Lutheran hospital in LaCrosse of cancer at the age of 60.

Marvin Elmer Blomgren was born Dec. 12, 1920 to Elmer and Ida Blomgren in Lake Wilson, Minn. He married Virginia Wilhelm and the became the parents of four children.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Virginia of Lime Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Duane (Irene) Eiffler and Mrs. Bruce (Carla) Fortney, both of Lime Springs, and Mrs. Arlynn (Wanda) Hovey of Preston, Minn.; one son, Sgt. Russell Blomgren of Fort Lee, Va.; four grandchildren; a brother, Harold of Cresco; four sisters, Mrs. Gladys Hart and Mrs. Fredrick (Fern) Schmauss, both of Lime Springs, Mrs. Gasper (Lillian) Bujan of Cresco and Mrs. Violet Pederson of Canton, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lyle.
