Alvin Bigalk funeral conducted here Monday

Funeral services for Alvin Bigalk, 74, were held Monday, May 28, at 11:00 a.m. in Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. Lyle Lutz officiating. Interment was in Oak Lawn cemetery with military honors. Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He died Thursday morning of a heart attack.

Alvin Harvey Bigalk was born March 18, 1905 to William and Amelia (Halweg) Bigalk. He was a veteran of World War II, and a veteran circulation director for the Waterloo Courier.

He is survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
