Henry Conrad Meyer was born on Sept. 16, 1859 , on board a ship enroute from Germany to America. His parents settled in South Bend, Ind. for some time, later moving to Buffalo, Iowa, where he lived until he was united in marriage to May Truesdale. To this union were born four children, one girl and three boys. He passed away May 20, 1916, at the age of 56 years, 3 months and 4 days. He leaves to mourn his death a wife, four children and two sisters. The funeral service was held in the Presbyterian church on Sabbath at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. W. R. Caldwell. The body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
