Albert Albers, son of Henry and Elizabeth Albers, was born in Canoe township, May 26, 1877 and died in Cresco Dec. 26, 1920. When he was about four years old the family moved near Ridgeway where he grew to manhood. About thirteen years ago his parents left the farm and moved to Cresco and Albert accompanied them. About 22 years ago a creeping sickness took hold of him and never left him till death claimed him.

All remedies were tried but none helped. His mother took care of him and it was a very heavy burden to her, especially the last two years, because Albert was blind and partly paralyzed.Death came as a relief to him.

Albert at first could not comprehend why he must suffer so much but finally he understood that it was that way through which he must get ready for the world to come. His going was joy to him. He leaves his mother, five brothers and three sisters. Interment was made in the city cemetery of Cresco. Robt. L. Hertel officiating.
