Palmer Anderson dies March 29

There are no services being held for Palmer Anderson of Clinton, formerly of Waterloo. His body has been donated to the Des Moines Osteopathic School with burial at a later date in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball in Waterloo handled the arrangements.

Palmer, 80, died Saturday, March 29, 2003 at the Harbor Crest Home in Fulton, IL.

Palmer B. Anderson was born March 11, 1923 in Cresco, the son of Gus and Petra (Pederson) Anderson. He was a graduate of Cresco High School.

On April 2, 1946 he married Emma Anderson in Ridgeway. Palmer was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He had served during World War II.

Palmer had formerly been a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo and was currently a member of the Orleans Lutheran Church in Ridgeway. He was also a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Emma of Clinton; one son: Jerry of Cedar Rapids; one daughter: Beverly Smith of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren: and one great-grandchild.

Palmer was preceded in death by one grandson; his parents; four brothers: Lester, Oscar, Arnold, and Arthur; and two sister: Agnes and Laura.
