Terry L. Ohlsen, age 62 of Cresco and formerly of Eagan, Minnesota died of a heart attack on Saturday, Sept 14, 2013 at his home in Cresco. A Celebration of his life will be held at a future date. Terry Lee Ohlsen was born on June 22, 1951 in Marshall, Minnesota the son of Roger and Carol (Nicholson) Ohlsen. He attended school through the sixth grade in Marshall when his parent moved to Luverne, Minnesota where he graduated from high school. He married Julie VanDen Hoek of Luverne, to which two sons, Jerod and Brice were born. The family made their home in Eagan where Terry was employed by various glass companies as an artistic glass cutter. Following Julie's death he made his home in Cresco where he has lived since 2008. Terry loved fishing in northern Minnesota and exploring the Upper Iowa and Turkey River nature areas of Northeast Iowa. He was truly a kind, generous and loving man and will truly be missed by his family and many friends. Terry is survived by two sons; Jerod and Brice, both of the Twin Cities; his mother, Carol Ohlsen of Cresco; a sister, Gretchen (Ken) Becker of Cresco; a brother, Bruce (Barb) Ohlsen of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Roger; paternal grandparents who were of Iroquois, S. Dakota and his maternal grandparents who were of Lynd, Minnesota.
