Harold Fredrick Joseph Seidel was born to Fredrick and Selma (Lenth) Seidel on March 30, 1924, in Luana, IA. He was baptized on April 20, l924, and confirmed March 21, 1937, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Postville, IA. He attended rural schools in the Postville area, completing eighth grade, and his music books are still probably under the school to this day. Harold was united in marriage to Wilma Faye Moore on August 26th, 1944, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Riceville. Harold provided for his family by farming, construction work, and driving semi until they moved in March of 2012 and became a part of the Wildwood Grove Senior Living family in LeRoy, MN, where they have received excellent care. The love of his life was his beautiful wife, family, church, and working to provide for them. He is survived by his wife Wilma of LeRoy; son Harold Jr. (Sonny) and his wife Darlene of Riceville; three grandchildren: Rhonda Weiler of Colby, WI, Michelle Berglund of Shell Rock, IA, and Brian Seidel of Loves Park, IL; four great-grandchildren: Jessica (Joel) Olson, of Chippewa Falls, WI, Brittany Weiler (Brad Knetter) of Brown Deer, WI, Dalton Berglund of Shell Rock, IA, Joseph Seidel of Loves Park, IL.; four sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Delbert; two sisters: Bernice & Milda and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation:
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 23, 2013 At the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Service:
10:30 am on Saturday, August 24, 2013 At Immanuel Lutheran Church in Riceville.

Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, Iowa
