CRESCO- Funeral services for William "Bill" Gosch of Cresco were held at 11:00 a.n. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at the First Lutheran Church in Cresco. It was Bill's wishes to be cremated following services. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco handled the arrangements.

Bill, 48, died Thursday morning, Jan. 6 after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

William Gosch was born May 23, 1962 in Guttenburg, Iowa the son of John and Patricia (Herold) Gosch. He graduated from Crestwood High School in 1981. Bill's dream was to work with his father in the family business at Gosch's Plumbing and Heating. He attended Dunwoody Technical Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. where he studied and mastered sheet metal fabrication.

On July 16, 1988 he married Barbara Butikofer at First Lutheran Church in Cresco. They made their home in Cresco. Along with his brother David, he purchased Gosch's Plumbing and Heating in 2004.

Bill's number one priority in life was his family. His favorite thing to do was take his family up to Round Bay Resort to go fishing for Northern Pike. His second love in life was the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. and "Little E." he enjoyed camping, hunting, sitting around campfires with friends, grilling, and cheering on the Cadets. His passion for life was shown through his hard work ethic, willingness to help others, positive attitude and warm smile.

Bill is survived by his wife Barb; three sons: Brandon (Rebecca), Benjamin and Brian; three grandchildren: Lexy, Bradan, and Bella; his parents: three sisters: Barb (Darren), Diane (Randi) Arndt, Deb (Chad) Duregger; two brothers: Dave (Daniell) Gosch and Joe (Kelli) Gosch; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bil was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Orvie and Fran Herold: and his paternal grandparents: John and Hertha Gosch.
