FATAL CASUALTY -- A little over one week ago Joseph Pulver and another person started from Cresco for their home north-east of Kendall's Mill, arriving there a little after dusk. They crossed the river at that place but taking the wrong road, after a short time came back to the stream and plunging in were soon out where the water was ten or fifteen feet deep. Pulver too much intoxicated to care for himself was rescued by his companion and with the assistance of help promptly summoned was restored, surviving until last Monday. Condoling with the friends of the deceased we make no reflections that will only add to the poignancy of their already burdened grief.
