DIED

In Cresco, Sept. 12th, 1869, of consumption, MRS. MARY E. MOON, wife of M. M. Moon, aged thirty years.

The deceased has been battling with disease for nearly one year, and has had the attention, care, and assistance of kind friends, with the best medical aid procurable with what result is set forth in the above melancholy announcement. She leaves a devoted husband and three prattling innocents to mourn her untimely departure. Her excellent social qualities and womanly virtues had endeared her to a large circle of friends and acquaintances, who freely mingle their tears of sympathy with those of the bereaved.

The members of New Oregon Lodge of which her husband was a Member and Master met in special communication on Monday when the following resolutions were submitted by a committee appointed for that purpose, and unanimously adopted. The fraternity attended the funeral in a body and many a manly breast was softened and many a stern eye dimmed, that one so deeply loved should be so soon lost.

The funeral discourse will be given next sabbath at the Congregational Church at the usual hour of service in the morning.
