Services for Hilda Zotika to be held

Memorial services for Hilda M. Zotika will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 1997, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Schley. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery with the Rev. Allen M. Schmitt presiding. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Conway Funeral Home and an hour prior to services at the church.

Hilda Zotika, age 87, of Naples, FL, formerly of Cresco, died Tuesday, June 17 at the Naples Community Hospital.

Hilda was born December 8, 1909 in Festina, the daughter of Herman and Rosa (Farwick) Wenthold. She attended a rural school and as a young girl, her family moved to the Cresco area.

On September 29, 1931, she was united in marriage to Otto Zotika at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cresco. They moved to a farm near Schley. Hilda spent the winters in Naples until her health no longer allowed her to return home.

She is survived by her children, James Zotika of Flagstaff, AZ and Joan Kinkor of Naples, FL; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one sister, Bernadette Maravetz of Elma.

Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and seven brothers: Louis, Lawrence, Joseph, Clement, Fred, Andrew and George Wenthold; and three sisters: Ida Burgess, Frances Rink, and Louise Timp.
