Otto Zotika, 77, services held at Schley

Funeral services for Otto Zotika, 77, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11 in Holy Cross Church in Schley. The Rev. Louis Trzil officiated. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery with arrangements by Conway Funeral Home.

He died at his home near Schley on October 8, 1986.

Otto Frank Zotika was born June 23, 1909 at Elyria, Ohio, the son of John and Adella Zotika. The family moved to this area in 1918 and Otto attended the rural schools.

On September 29, 1931, Otto and Hilda Wenthold were married at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cresco. They were the parents of two children. Otto farmed for many years and also managed the Kaiser Ag Plant in Cresco for 13 years until retirement.

Otto was a member of Holy Cross Church and the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda; a daughter, Mrs. Joan Kinkor of Naples, FL; a son, James Zotika of Flagstaff, AZ, four grandchildren; also a brother, John Zotika of Cresco and two sisters, Ella Slifka and Cecilia Halweg, both of Cresco.

His parents preceded him in death in 1960.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral came from Florida, Arizona, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Missouri.
