Services held for Helen Tlusty, 79
Funeral services were held for Helen Tlusty of Cresco at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, 1997, at Assumption Catholic Church in Cresco. Rev. Michael C. Fitzgerald officiated. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery at Schley with Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at the Cresco Care Center.
Helen Ann Tlusty was born on August 29, 1917, in Howard County the daughter of Albert and Catherine (Capouch) Koudelka. She attended the rural school.
On June 2, 1936, she married Edward Tlusty at Holy Trinity Church in Protivin. They made their home on the farm in Howard County. After retiring in 1982, they made their home in Cresco.
Survivors include two children, Mildred Anfinson of Evansdale, IA; and Don of Cresco; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Adela Capouch of Cresco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; one great-granddaughter; her parents; three brothers, Edward, John, and George Koudelka; and three sisters, Emma Tlusty, Mayme Clynch, and Clara Randak.
