Angeline Scheidel, 78, services held at Schley

Funeral services for Mrs. Angeline Scheidel, 78, were held at 10:30 a.m. April 7, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Schley. The Rev. James King officiated. Casket bearers were grandsons: Lon Scheidel, Lynn Scheidel, Loren Scheidel, Randy Reicks, Tom Schatz and Mike Anderson. Interment was in Holy Cross cemetery with Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She died April 5, at the Cresco Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Angeline Marie Scheidel was born November 9, 1905, at Schley, the daughter of Joe and Margaret Barnes. She attended the rural school in Howard County.

Angeline married Rudy Scheidel on November 23, 1926, at Lourdes. They became the parents of three children. Angeline was a member of Holy Cross Church, the Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Irven Reicks of Cresco; two sons, Norman Scheidel of Cresco and Dale Scheidel of Murray, Utah; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Stuart Johnsrud of Cresco and Mrs. Joe Polaschek of Harmony, Mn., and two brothers, Miles Barnes and Thomas S. Barnes both of Cresco.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1982; a sister, Zenita Barnes; a granddaughter, Luann Scheidel and a great grandson, Timothy Schatz.

Relatives and friends attended from Murray, Utah, Rochester and Harmony, Mn., Ossian, Des Moines, Conrad and the surrounding area.
