John Pelikan, 68, Died Wednesday at Home Near Schley

Funeral services for John Pelikan, 68, who died Wednesday night at his farm home 12 miles southwest of Cresco, were held Saturday morning in the Schley Holy Cross church.

The Rev. Louis Trzil offered the requiem mass and burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery. The Peckosh funeral home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Mr. Pelikan, who had been in ill health, died as the result of a heart condition.

John Pelikan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pelikan, was born in Bohemia October 27, 1882.

He is survived by his widow and three sons, Godlov of Cedar Falls, and Clement and Frank at home.

Transcriber’s Note: According to Mrs. Pelikan’s obituary her name was Stella Shileny and they were married in 1914.
