Mrs. Veronica Ohrtman funeral held Tuesday

Funeral services for Veronica H. Ohrtman were held Tuesday at the St. Joseph Catholic church with the Rev. Roman Shares officiating. Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery with the Conway Funeral home in charge of arrangements. She died May 30, at the Howard County hospital.

She was born Sept. 30, 1933 in Emmetsburg, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilary Millea. She attended St. Mary’s school in Emmetsburg. On Aug. 30, 1950 she married Carl Ohrtman in Fairmont, Minn. They lived in Ringsted and moved to Schley in 1958. They moved to Ridgeway in 1972. She had been employed for five and a half years by the Northeast Iowa Community Action in Decorah.

Mrs. Ohrtman is survived by her husband, Carl of Ridgeway; four daughters Sharon, Peggy Ann, Maureen and Michelle; two sons Gary of Elma and Richard at home; one grandson; her mother, Mrs. Lillian Millea of Emmetsburg; three brothers, James Millea of Hartwick, N.Y., Thomas of Graettinger, Robert of Emmetsburg; seven sisters, Mrs. Charles Alvia of San Francisco, Calif., Eileen Millea Emmetsburg; Mrs. Cecil Smith of Emmetsburg, Jean Millea of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Robert Hemann of Osage, Mrs. Thomas Lynch of Osage, and Mrs. Robert Mittler of Des Moines.
