Mrs. Sarah Mintey, wife of the late Andrew Mintey, passed away last Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elisha Peckham of Albion, from the decrepitude of old age. The funeral took place this afternoon at the Ashley M. E. church, Rev. Gammons officiating.

MINTEY
Sarah A. Witty was born at Toronto, Canada, on the 25th day of December, 1839. Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peckham, March 15th, 1908. At Hudson, Ohio, in 1859 she was united in marriage to Andrew J. Mintey. To them were born six children, three of whom survive to mourn her loss. They are Mrs. E. J. Peckham of Albion, Mrs. O. W. Clark of Cresco and Charles of Bonair. In 1869 they moved to Howard county, Iowa, residing here ever since. Since the death of her husband in1903 she has lived at her home in Cresco and among her children. She united with the M. E. church in 1889.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. Gammons were held in the Albion church Tuesday and burial was in Albion cemetery.
