Services held for Cresco native

Mrs. Bernard Nash and Mr. and Mrs. John Benson attended the memorial service for Rees Damon on July 19 at the Werness Bros. Funeral Home in Edina, MN. Rees died at Abbot Northwestern Hospital July 15 of a heart attack following surgery.

Rees Damon was born December 15, 1911 in Cresco, the son of Dr. and Mrs. E.R. Damon. He graduated from Cresco high school and University of Iowa in Iowa City. He was employed at a malting company in Manitowoc, WI, and later transferred to Minneapolis where he became vice president of the company.

His wife, Bernice of Edina survives; also two daughters and a grandchild.
