Frank J. Havel, 75, funeral at Schley

Funeral services for Frank J. Havel, 75, will be held this morning (Wednesday) at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic church in Schley with the Rev. Russell Meyerhofer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died Sunday, Jan. 10, at the St. Joseph’s hospital in New Hampton.

Mr. Havel was born Jan. 20, 1906 in Howard county, the son of Frank and Anna Havel. He married Anna Pecinovsky.

He was a member of the Holy Cross church and the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lewis and Marcelline; three sisters Mrs. Frances Frana, Emma Morovetz and Mrs. Celia Vokaty.

Survivors include his wife Anna; two daughters Mrs. Robert (Janet) Andera and Mrs. Roger (Diane) Pecinovsky of Cresco; seven grandchildren; seven sisters Mrs. Rose Triska of Decorah, Mrs. Mary Frana of Spillville, Mrs. Lillian Pecinovsky and Mrs. Agnes Milota of Protivin, Mrs. Marcella Opat and Mrs. Anna Samec of Cresco, Mrs. Martha Hosek of Charles City.
