MOURN LOSS OF SON

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Elder of northwest of Cresco in Albion township mourn the loss of their six year old son, Raymond Robert, who died Monday, March 13, in Mercy hospital of complications resulting from flu. Funeral services will be held at the Larson funeral home in Lime Springs this afternoon. Burial will be in Phelps{sic} cemetery near there. The Rev. Yates of the Lime Springs Methodist church will officiate.

Transriber’s Note: The cemetery is incorrect – it should be Phillips Cemetery. Also cemetery records show the dates of birth and death as 1832 – 1938; however, the reference to Monday the 13th is correct for date of death in 1939.
